Amy Dunne
Amy is an actor, writer and singer from Kilkenny. She is a graduate of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, New York and Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting.
Screen credits include GAP (Screen Ireland) Uroboros (Screen Ireland Focus Short), the Oscar nominated Wolfwalkers for Cartoon Saloon, Pumpkin, Birthday Cake (Crypt TV) by BAFTA winning director Fergal Costello, Two Cats (Mycrofilms), Smitten (RTE Storyland), Daffney Molloy and Other Catastrophe (RTE Shortscreen) by IFTA nominated writer John Morton, and the award-winning feature Writing Home (Amazon).
Amy’s extensive stage credits include The 24 Hour Plays (Abbey Theatre), The Roaring Banshees (Smock Alley Theatre), Brew, Cold Readers, Vehicle (Smock Alley Scene and Heard Festival), Sweet Sensations (Dublin Fringe Festival *Nominated Spirit of Wit Award for Ensemble) Scratcher, TEXT Messages (Project Arts Centre), Smitten (Cork Midsummer Festival), War Of Attrition (Galway Theatre Festival) and the PPI Radio award winning War of the Worlds (KCLR 96FM). A member of the award-winning Devious Theatre Company, Amy has performed in numerous of their productions since 2006.
Amy is a series regular of Peter McGann’s live radio comedy Pulp Injection plays and Dreamgun Film Reads. A skilled Soprano, she has trained with renowned opera singers Judith Mok and Bruce Baumer. Amy is currently developing writing projects for the screen and stage.
