Leah Egan
Leah is an award-winning actor-director, screenwriter and filmmaker with 15 years experience working across Ireland, the UK and Canada. She is winner of two best actress awards for her role as Ria Wade in feature film Life Begins Now.
Notable credits include TBS Canada’s The Detour, Leap of Faith and long-standing recurring lead roles on RTE’s Fair City and TG4’s Ros na Rún, where she now works as a Junior TV Director. Leah has been seen in work screened across Ireland, the UK and the United States/Canada.
In 2025, she was nominated for Best Female Director and her films won two Women in Film & TV Ireland Awards (Best Writer and Best Cinematography) in December 2025. Her original short films, Shelter and I See A Voice are currently on the festival circuit, with Shelter due to screen in the US in September 2026.
Leah is an experienced playwright and is presently in development on theatre project The Straits of Tullyfin supported by The Arts Council & Westmeath Arts Office which she is due to perform mid-September.
