Seán McManus
Seán Mc Manus is a Dublin-based theatre and filmmaker, actor and writer.
A performance graduate from TU Dublin’s Conservatoire, Seán most recently appeared on stage in the sell-out run of Mike Bartlett’s play Cock as JOHN. Seán’s other theatre credits include ROMEO Romeo & Juliet, MAN in Tender Napalm and GAY MICHAEL in Looking At The Sun’.
Seán loves boxing & surfing, and he has recently begun working towards getting his motorcycle licence.
A Photograph Taken Years Ago marks Seán’s fourth screen role this year; he plays co-lead BEN in this 1980’s story exploring love, risk and romance in the queer community in a Catholic Ireland dealing with the fallout of the AIDS epidemic.
Another highlight has been Deaf Ears the second block of which wrapped in January. This project explores male friendship and modern masculinity, inequality, immigration and empathy. It asks how far our kindnesses should stretch, who it should remember, and is very close to where Seán’s heart should be.
